50th Reunion Commentary: In ‘54 I was hired and trained as a dental assistant by Dr. Tanaka in Burien. I work for him for ten years and another ten years for Dr. R. Brooke in Seahurst. I was married to Russell Knuuttila in ‘59. We have three children, Julia, Cycdi, and R.J.. We have two grandsons, Keenan and Conner. In ‘74 we bought a farm in Enumclaw, where we raised all types of farm animals. We have enjoyed the country life. Through the ‘80's and 90's I worked for the Social Security Admin., retiring in 1999. My enjoyments are two grandsons, traveling, gardening and raising Boston Terriers. |

50th Reunion Commentary: Have been married to Harlan Gilliland (a Presbyterian Minister) for 47 yrs. We raised 3 daughters. Our oldest daughter, Cindy, died due to medical complication about 12 yrs. ago. Consequently, we stepped in and raised her 2 daughters who are now in college. We have 4 granddaughters, 1 grandson. After graduating from Whitworth College in 1958, I went back to NJ while Harland attended Princeton Theological Seminary. We have served churches in Auburn , Vashon Island, Spokane , and Longview . I retired from public schools after 25 yrs. in 1997. I have enjoyed: traveling, (around USA twice, to Europe twice), doing our genealogy, preserving local church history, gardening and the grandkids.
