ARDELL (PETERSON) EKBERG - Library Staff, SPADES, Gift Committee. Her prettiness was the fragile kind thai does not impose itself upon you, but rather creeps up upon you unaware.
Ardell (Peterson) Ekberg / Seattle , WA . 98178
50th Reunion Commentary: Most dear to my heart are family and friends. My children, Greg and Renè along with son-in-law, John, and granddaughters, Kerri and Kristin are the heart of my family. My granddaughters and I are growing our hair for Curls for Care. Music and reading are a major part of my life, but I also find time to enjoy the Mariners, dancing, ballet, comedy, bowling, crossword puzzles and two “soaps” from England . I've had a variety of jobs, but one of the most interesting experiences was helping to write an instruction manual on Jaffro Planes, which was translated into German and Spanish.

50th Reunion Commentary: Amazing ... there was life after “Highline”. I moved to Hollywood CA., in 1956 where my favorite sister had already planned my life. I worked for the President of a Corporation for 18 years and, when that ended, I joined United Airlines. I traveled to all the far away places I dreamed about. Doesn't that remind you of the 50's song, Margaret Whiting's, “Faraway Places”? I was married 37 years (widow at 57). I have two children and seven ABC's. I didn't leave my heart in San Francisco , I left it in “Highline”. To quote Bob Hope, “Thanks for the memories”. |
